| Description: This facility is used to treat the wastewater from a justice center located outside of the Hendersonville Municipal Sewer System. The actual design flow from the justice center was approximately 20,000 gallons per day. They added an additional 10,000 gallons of sewage flow rate capability based on the area's future population increase which this system will be able to handle. Being located in North Carolina where many unpolluted streams exist, the degree of treatment had to be extreme so the effluent would not pollute the environment. We succeeded in this, as the quality of effluent discharge is equivalent or better than the stream water. |
