| Description: This facility is used to treat wastewater from a small Northern Louisiana community. The community consists of approximately 250 homes. Several lift stations are used to pump the wastewater throughout the community to the Wastewater Treatment System. The system was shipped to the project site in four large truckloads and our field crew installed the WWTS within a ten day period. A rapid sand tertiary filter system was provided because the effluent limitation on BOD and suspended solids were stringent. A UV unit was used to disinfect the waste stream effluent instead of the use of chlorine because the effluent discharged into a large lagoon. |
