Tipton Fiberglass Sound Reduction Enclosures

The acoustical sound reduction system is constructed of fiberglass of the dimensions shown on the detailed drawings. It can be lined with acoustical sound reduction materials which have been properly baffled to reduce the decibel noise being created by the positive displacement blowers. The discharge piping of the blowers shall be positioned within the sound enclosure to help reduce the vibration and the noise being created by the air discharge. The inlet filter silencer, pressure relief valve, pressure gauge, and check valve shall all be located within the fiberglass sound enclosure with only the blower discharge rubber hose connection being provided as a single line hook up for each blower. The necessary electrical connection from the blower to CP-1 shall be provided and pre-wired at the factory so that the unit can be tested at the factory prior to shipment. The sound enclosure shall be equipped with lockable double door access panels on both sides of the enclosure. The sound enclosure shall be equipped with lifting eyes at the top of the enclosure and a removable roof for easy servicing in the future by the plant operator. The enclosure has an ivory finish. The blower motor unit shall be mounted on four (4) vibration pad dampers tagged VP-1. This will help reduce blower vibration and noise transmission. Each sound enclosure shall be equipped with a blower discharge pipe with a marine rubber hose with 2 stainless steel clamps.

Features and Benefits of the TEII-FE-SE Series:

  • The TIPTON line of fiberglass sound enclosures provides excellent equipment protection and weather resistance. Provides weather protection from extreme environments, including hot and cold temperatures, marine environments, wastewater, and industrial applications.
  • For noise critical applications, noise suppression material can be outfitted in all of the enclosures to reduce the noise output of the equipment.
  • The unique properties of fiberglass reinforced plastic composites offer excellent corrosion resistance.
  • The smooth gel coated exterior surface will not crack, peel, or deteriorate. The molded color has been designed to resist ultraviolet degradation and never needs to be painted.
  • The fiberglass reinforced plastic composition is electronically non-conductive, which is an important safety feature.
