Handrails

Grating

A service grating walkway is provided to access the plant equipment.  Grating panels consist of one piece skid resistant steel plank, and is constructed of 18 gauge, galvanized sheet steel with a  maximum yield surface width of 37,000 PSI. Each grating panel has a standard 9-inch surface width and a 2-1/2” rib depth.  Each panel is supported to have a safe uniform load carrying capacity of 80 pounds per square foot.  The raised “NO-SKID” holes are set in an open design that allows easy passage of air.

The service handrails are a combination of aluminum pipe stanchions, 1-1/2 inch OD, bolted to the hat sections on the tank structure, and equipped with a center cable rail. The top of the handrail shall consist of 1-1/2 inch OD aluminum pipe fitted with speed rail fittings.  The supplied cable rail shall consist of stainless steel cable.  All required mounting bolts, nuts, and washers shall also be provided for the handrail system for ease of installation

Optional Accessories - These units can be outfitted with many optional accessories such as inlet flow restriction gauge, inlet muffler, discharge muffler, pressure relief valve, check valve, pressure gauge, and flexible discharge connections. Units can also be provided with a fiberglass hood for sound suppression.
